Hello everyone,
Okay, so Suggs' voice may not
be as pretty as Paul Heaton's, or as emotional as Robert Smith's. What
makes him a great vocalist is the sincere humanity he puts into his
singing. On "One Better Day," you can hear all of the sadness at the
start that gradually changes to hope as the chorus finally comes around.
The emotion is never cheap--there's a real honesty and warmth in
his voice that always comes across without any howling. I think that
people really respond to that sincerity, and it's one of the reasons that
so many people have such affection for Madness.
