Hiya Peter & fellow Nutters !
Well, as requested, here it is folks - below is a copy of the original mail
I posted way back in March when we were all disappointed at the news that
there would be no Madstock this year & were looking for possible
alternatives - there wasn't a lot of response the first time round except
from The Doc, Scatty, Stoo, Mr G, Simesy & one or two others, but hopefully
now that interest has been re-kindled we can maybe sort something out eh ! -
Let's hope so 'cos it would be good ! - BTW the latest idea of us all
staying in the same hotel is a peach - now that would be MADNESS !!!
Hiya nutters,
Here's a couple of suggestions for replacing madstock;
1. Organise a Madness Convention where we can all set up stalls displaying
all our madness goodies / collections etc, & items could be bought, sold,
swopped etc....then in the evening head for some food.....then drink....&
possibly even book a madness tribute band.....I think this would be a
brilliant idea.....depending on nos interested......costs could be divided
equally........it could even become an annual event......moving around the
country each year....
...there could be competitions/prizes etc (ie best display)...........this
may be a long shot but why not, it would be an ideal way for us to all meet
up.
2. As has been previously suggested, a big madmeet in London & ask Adele to
take us on her famous Madwalk...then food & obviously drink.........possibly
a tribute band as well....again this could be an annual event. Again there
could be competitions / prizes (ie - it could be themed, where we all have
to dress as a character from a madness video)
What do you all think......am I mad or can it be done.....we could even do
both & make a weekend of it........or space them out 6 months
apart..........let me know !!!
bye the noo............Rob W
.....opportunity gone it's gone for ever......you will find out to your
cost....a better use must be made of your
time.....dodododododododo............J.Hasler/M Barson.
