it would be nice if a series of "bootleg busters" could be issued, but
Virgin are probably only interested in a quick turn over of profits.
If this was to be done, maybe as a mail order only kind of thing, the
band would probably have to sort it out themselves.
I've no idea the amount of quality tapes of Madness that actually
exist, or any that are in the hands of the band. I think I read years
ago that Lee Thompson used to keep all the shows on tape or something,
I'm not sure.
Reasonably priced archive CDs would be nice, and a lot of bands have
done this kind of thing already. There have been whole series' of CDs
from T Rex, Greatful Dead, Frank Zappa and a lot of others.
