Wow what a lot to read - I am still not through all the mails regarding this
topic! However I do feel the need to add my two bits worth! I was out on
Saturday night on my Hen's Night (that wedding date is just getting closer
and closer!!!), and found myself in a night club that played "commercial",
popular music. Well let me just say in hind sight, that Madness have
definitely had an impact on UK culture - from what I can tell here in Aus
anyway, and their lyrics were/are statements and reflections on the culture
that they live in... On Saturday night I was treated to a song with a chorus
of "I'm horny, horny horny horny..." this adds to that other one "Sha la la
la la..."
I think that is all that needs to be said really...
