Hiya Steve and all you stragglers who haven't found the energy to switch on
your computers yet after the weekend excesses! And also a sympathetic hello
to the unfortunate Maddies who didn't make it to Blackpool this weekend. As
Steve said, you MUST make it to the next one!
I can't remember enough right now to say much, so I just want to say what a
great gang of folk Madness fans are. Love was all around. Although most of
it seemed to flow in the direction of the men with the fanzines;-)
Boddingtons was also all around! And unfortunately, thanks my brother, the
Dobber, it still seemed to be around after the fun had ended! But I can't
slag him too much as he wrote the cheque which fulfilled a dream for me.
So big big thanks to Chris and Cheryl for organising everything, the two
Vinces for their highly entertaining chairing of the auction, Jonathan for
the top job he did on the quiz, the legendary Swanny (it was emotional
man!), Stuart Wright just for being Stuart Wright;-), "Mike Myers" for the
unerring impersonations, and the girls in the French Maids' outfits on
Saturday night (self explanatory that one)! And special thanks to everyone
who donated stuff to the auction (especially the top man, Mr Smash, obviously).
It was a great weekend and everyone did their bit to add to the special
atmosphere. Now can everyone start filling in my memory blanks, please?;-)
