unity8 crashed with SIGSEGV in QQuickItem::setWidth()

Bug description:
Unity8 was installed as part of Ubuntu 16.04 regular update. After
update finished, I simply typed unity8 on command prompt and then as
it started opening there came the crash as described above. I am
going to use synaptic to install unity8 fromrepositoty, and i will
report back with what happened.
