For me it works though.

What is the output of `locale` ? It is possible that indicator-datetime
is not building with language packs. Do you have "french" installed? If
not you can install it from System language and regional settings. Also
check if you have geoclue installed.

1) Install dconf-editor.
2) Go to /com/canonical/indicator/datetime
3) Check timezone name
4) You can change time-format with "custom-time-format" key

** Also affects: indicator-datetime (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
Clock : incorrect date format in FR in Unity panel …bionic.

Status in indicator-datetime package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hi,

  Here is Ubuntu 18.04 with Unity session ( I know… )

System language and regional settings are set to French.

In regional setting the date reads

day number month year hour minute…

  which is correct for French.

But the clock in the Unity panel reads

day month number year hour minute…

which looks more English than French order.

Any config file I might edit to make my clock « more French » ?
