Title:
  [Conexant ID 2bfa] Recording problem

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  If I leave the computer off all night, I can get the microphone working. 
However, if I try it again after about 5 minutes, it doesn't work. So, as you 
can see, I know how to set up the levels in alsamixer and pavucontrol etc, but 
it only works for about 5 minutes and then I can do nothing. At first, sound 
recorder works and also skype test call. Later, in sound recorder, there is no 
movement from the recording level meter and the record and play buttons stay 
active, and the stop button is still inactive. The levels in alsamixer and 
pavucontrol remain the same as when it was all working.
  I've sent this throough apport so you should have enough info, but just in 
case:
