Title:
Soundcard detected but with no sound

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I need a controller for the X-Fi extreme audio notebook (PC express). In the
sound preferences appears "X-Fi Extreme Audio CA0110-IBG analog Stereo".
Through the "cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#* | grep Codec" i can see that the
codec is a Motorola Si3054. I already tried Open Sound System but the soundcard
still doesn't work. I've seen in foruns that there are a lot of users to
complain about the lack of support to this soundcard.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick. kernel Linux 2.6.35-32-generic-pae. GNOME
2.32.0
Hope this informations can be valuable.

  Best regards from Portugal
