Title:
I can barely hear my speakers when up all the way

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
So I just installed my Ubuntu 11.10 on my Vaio desktop that previously had
windows 7 on it and the sound worked perfectly with windows but since I
switched to Ubuntu, even when I turn it up all the way I can barely hear it,
any help would be much appreciated.
