Title:
Sound settings no longer incluces "analog headphones" as an output
option in Oneiric.
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Issue: both analog speakers and headphone/lineout are either active,
or muted. There is no way through "sound settings" to select audio
output through headphones only.
While the "sound settings" does not see any possibility of outputting
to anything other than "analog speakers", alsamixer does.
I attempted to mute analog speakers only, using alsamixer, but
changing state of "analog speakers" also changes state of "analog
headphones"
This was not the case in Natty...
Use case:
I want to turn off my speakers, while using headphones, so that I can hear
audio while those around me can not.
release: ubuntu 11.10
version: "sounds settings" as shipped with ubuntu 11.10
