Title:
[VGC-RB60G, SigmaTel CXD9872RD/K, Black Headphone Out, Left] With
everything turned all the way up, volume is still very quiet
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Sony vaio model #vgc-rb60g
alsamixer & sound settings & my speakers have everything turned all the way
up, but the volume is still very quiet.
Since this is a desktop, I am using the headphone jack to plug up my
speakers. The speakers have their own AC power source.
Windows XP was the sole OS on this PC, but I wiped it out with Ubuntu, In
Windows, the volume worked perfectly.
All my hardware, wires, etc are connected properly, tried 3 sets of speakers
& they are all the same.
I also updated my drivers following these directions
Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules
Volume is still very quiet.
Thanks
