This bug still seems to be active: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-8537062.html#8537062 It is still happening on my machine except the interference seems to be more corrupt along the lines of Simon's image. I believe it briefly stopped some time ago but by the time I started checking the new versions, it started up again.
