It would never had cost as much as 50$ if one was bundled in every box, probably much cheaper. There is a lot of throw away stuff when you by anything, try a TV or an receiver, manuals in 14 languages extra antennas bunches of extra cables and stuff. Adding an extra item would not do to much to any product . I got 4 HDMI cables with my geffen HDMI switch.
