The only issue has been whether it needs to be formatted with FAT32 or NTFS (drives can come formatted either way). It appears that the released version will work with either. You can search the web for brands people think are good in general (unrelated to squeezebox use), but I can tell you that I've used 5 or 6 different brands (small drives, large drives (1.5 TB), etc. and haven't had a problem with any of them. Of course, all drives will fail eventually, so you should always have backups. My music is on at least 4 drives in 3 different physical locations.
