I think the release of the Duet was blighted by a 'lets get it out the
door and fix remaining bugs with subsequent software updates' approach
that has seriously impacted squeeze's reliability reputation. I would
guess that Logitech are aware of this, and want to ensure that the Touch
is ready for primetime before releasing. The Boom and the Radio seem to
have been much more of a finished product before being released.

It is interesting that the hardware for the touch has been ready for
sometime now, yet it would seem that the software is still at least a
month or so away. Ongoing reorgs within the remnants of slimedevices
software team can't be helping (see Bklaas's comments elsewhere).

I can't blame Logitech for wanting to release a finished product, but
given the delays in the Touch launch, the lengthy waits for outstanding
bugs in other products to be addressed and the lack of support that the
thid party developers are experiencing, it does feel as if Logitech are
not adequately resourcing the squeeze software development team.
