We're just talking here :) *If* it was determined that the USB drive that had the largest market share in the wild was out of spec and would not work with the design of the device then...yes, it would be reasonable for the company to address the issue. That could mean changing the design if it made sense OR choosing to do nothing. If you were a maker of wallets and you were considering a certain size for those wallets you would want to ensure that those wallets fit in the pockets worn by most of your target consumers, no? You wouldn't suggest that people use pocket extenders :) I wont waste a lot of time on the concept here, but there is a give and take with design and compatibility testing. Tweaks to hardware design happen all the time to support compatibility with their external influences be that other hardware or even software and services. To be honest I don't know how many drives wont work with the Touch and I don't know what the specs are on the Touch usb port. I don't own a Touch at this moment and can't say if any of my drives would fail. I'm just making a point that the general issue isn't as black and white as some are seeing. It could also be a non issue for the majority of people. -- pounce ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pounce's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12645 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76983 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
