1) No this is incorrect (the posts you are referring to were by John Swenson and you are understandably conflating several posts into one, with an incorrect/incomplete conclusion!) Via analogue or digital, both SBS and TinySC playback of FLAC and WAV are all identical audio quality...unless you connect some phones to the headphone jack, when TinySC playback of FLAC or WAV are a tiny bit worse for an unknown reason. @John Swenson: please correct me - the posts are spread over various sub-forums. 2) Yes, gapless playback is fine, there is NO need to use cuesheets (and many reasons to avoid them) 3) It will only scan any newly added files so it doesn't take that long. However, rather than disconecting the drive, the drive can be shared by the Touch across your network (Samba share) so you can rip directly to it or copy files to it. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
