The WD passport is "USB powered" but in their papers you can read about a special cable for "the few computers that limits the power on the USB ports" ? Even more bizarre the manual does not tell how many mA it want's ? So in the case of this WD passport, if not better specs are available only if somebody actually tried it can give us an answer.
