Ah, so I'm guessing you mean that the SB3 (etc.) remote only ever used a non-JVC code?
This is a real pain since now at least one quite popular brand of universal remotes that used to work with SB kit now no longer does so. What's most frustrating is that I don't think anyone ever knew (from the forum posts I've seen anyway) that the "proper" codes weren't the JVC DVD ones.
