I've had great success with this device from Artcessories: http://www.artproaudio.com/products.asp?type=86&cat=9&id=128 It can be had from Amazon, Musician's Friend, and other online retailers for under $100. It acts as a USB sound card with RCA line in/out jacks. The input can be set to either line-in or phono, so it will act as a preamp for a turntable. It has a knob to set the signal level which will add gain if needed for those low signal lps. This could be a cleaner solution for you. I found it nice to be able to dispense with the old receiver I was using solely as a preamp for my TT. -- maggior Rich --------- Setup: 2 SB3s, 4 Booms, 1 Duet, 1 Receiver, 1 Touch.
