After spending 10 years in high-tech manufacturing, there's a whole host of reasons to either singly or mass-open boxes of new stuff. Don't sweat it - a factory seal is a factory seal.
Sending it back just puts you in the pool of open-box disappointments - 1% DOA, .5% scratched, (whatever), etc.. MY guess was for firmware update prior to shipment. The Touch was really delayed, due to software. There were probably a bunch that were made "risk-shippable" to keep the factory running, and someone determined the risk was too great, so a pallet or 2 needed to be reflashed. Put it this way - your unit's been through extra QA! :-) -Dan -- plympton ------------------------------------------------------------------------ plympton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12955 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78198 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
