I believe you are misinterpreting the cutting edge of the Touch. One of it's main advantages over other media players is that you can configure and control it without having to have a TV set running or to have a PC in the direct vicinity of your listening position.
To control it from the sofa the IR remote is only a render of last resort. Normaly you use the controller or an iPhone, iPod or other PDA. This works bi-directionaly, giving you all the information you are expecting to see from your sitting position. Using it without any of the wifi remotes means you are operating it similar to a CD player. You are supposed to see the information when you are standing in front of it, not across the room. -- foxx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ foxx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36364 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78217 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
