If it were me, I would start totally fresh as this point. Eject the
drive, power down the Touch, power down and remove the Hub. Connect the
USB drive to a PC and delete the files that begin with "." (dot files
related to Squeezebox). Eject the drive from the PC. Power up the
Touch. Connect the USB drive (no hub), follow the menus.

Give it time to do a scan. Let us know how that is working. I have a
2TB external powered Seagate USB Drive and my only complaint with it is
how long it takes to wake it up. I use it as a back up drive for FLAC
file now because of how it impacts the performance of TinySC if used as
a music source drive with the Touch. I am very happy with both the WD
MyBook and Toshiba USB drives when it comes to running TinySC on the
Touch. If you still have issue after all the suggestions you are going
to start getting, maybe the issue your having is just the way the
Seagate acts in operation and it might be time to think of it as a
backup drive and get a new main full time drive that plays better with
the Touch running TinySC.

Note: IIRC the Reset Button on the back only resets the CPU IE reboot.
To clear everything, one must go into Settings>Advanced>Factory Reset
