The best bet at this point is to look at the log files. There are two
ways you can see them:

1) turn on sharing (its in the USB menu). This will share the log file
over the network, even if you don't have a USB drive attached. Its
hardcoded for a workgroup name of WORKGROUP, so it should show up if
your computer is using WORKGROUP. If not using WORKGROUP you can type
into windows explorer address bar \\<IPaddress> and it should fine it.
The IP address can be found in the settings->advanced-> diagnostics
page.

2) Enable remote access (under settings->advanced) and ssh into the
Touch and type:
cd /var/log <enter>
less messages <enter>

You should see messages about loosing and acquiring the connection.
Hopefully you can glean some information about what is happening by
looking at the log. If you can't figure it out, copy and paste some
relevant sections into a file and post it here.
