Thats been known to be the case in other people s systems...its not the Dac itself exactly. as those guys got around the problem by swapping out the opamps. My experience its way beyond the SB3 and easily better than the Touch, but remember my Dac has been modded so is above the standard spec.
Before mods though it was DEFINATELY better to my ears (as in couldnt go back to the anaolgue outs) that the SB3. Guess system interaction comes into play and Stan Beresford himself acknowledges this himself.
