Poor little thing... So far, it didn't manage to finish a full indexing run. I've tried it "only" twice (because it takes forever, about 2 days). It is pretty mistaken about its ETC, that time estimation gets heavily extended as it goes along.
I did follow the instructions I saw here: power it up without disk, let it settle for a while, connect the disk, watch only the progress and don't touch it for the next days. Symptom: The first quick run works fine, then it does a second, more thorough run. That gets slower towards the end and finally the server gets terminated. The screen shows a rather generic error message, something like "local server was terminated because of a problem". The disk is was spun down. Of course I wasn't around to see it happen, only the result. Setup: The disk is a 1TB 2.5" WD Passport, almost full with mp3 and flac, about 100.000 files. Folders can be large, not with files, but with subdirs, the largest has about 1200 subdirs. Am I doing something unreasonable? I could imagine somebody with a 2TB 3.5" drive (or even a raid) full of low bitrate mp3s giving that internal server way more stress than I do... Is there some kind of diagnostic I can help with?
