Then it would seem it is time for Logitech to add some qualifiers to
their product features & specifications pages. Right now there is zero
mention of limitations or restrictions regarding the size or type of
drives that can be used by the Touch. 

Logitech sometimes seems to be their own worst enemy in their relations
with customers. Over-promising has always struck me as an odd way of
doing business. It's a losing proposition since customers are always
happier when products exceed expectations as opposed to falling short.
