Hello folks - this is my first posting here. I'm new to the world of Squeezebox having just bought a SB Touch two weeks ago. I'm very pleased with it so far, and have made good use of the advice in this forum about things like managing various artists compilations, album art etc - so thanks to everyone for that.
But... having played around with the SBT for a couple of weeks I now seem to have ended up with a problem with the album artwork display. I've checked similar postings on here, but I'm not sure they answer this issue exactly. I'm currently running SBT 7.5.0-r8673 with SBS 7.5.0-r30464 running on my PC. This is the only mode in which I've run the device (ie I haven't run it against an external drive connected to the USB socket or anything like that yet). I initially pointed SBS at a series of folders containing about 250 albums from various sources, tagged in various ways - mainly MP3 files, but some WMA files. As you would expect, some of these displayed album art OK and some didn't so I got to work tagging files and also playing with server settings to sort out the various artists compilations etc. This meant I was clearing out the server cache and rescanning the whole library fairly frequently. What I noticed then was errors creeping in to the album cover art shown in the Artists > Albums listing on the SBT - the album art shown was incorrect in some cases. Clearing the cache again and rescanning didn't fix it. I then started again with fewer albums - 14 albums, 156 tracks, all of which were properly tagged (album art tagged in the tracks and cover.jpg files in the album folder) - and cleared the cache and rescanned this smaller library. But the same thing is still happening. Some of the album art shown is for albums that aren't even in the library now! Does the SBT device itself have some sort of cache on it, or is this a problem at the server end? I'd got to the point last night where I was either going to restore factory settings on the SBT, or uninstall and reinstall SBS - but then decided to post here instead. Would either of those steps be likely to fix the problem? I'd obviously like to know what is going on before I expand the library I'm using again. I'd be grateful for any help or advice... -- Jonny Quest ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jonny Quest's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38275 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78993 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
