My many years old Archos mp3 player does just that: scans the database on disconnection from the PC. The only way I have ever added tracks to it has been by cutting & pasting. No database on the PC at all. And it just works & has never crashed. Now, my touch with a directly connected drive has been somewhat different! Which has the most hardware resources I wonder... In any case, the Touch crashes AFTER the database is created too (using USB), so that is a red herring anyway. -- floater ------------------------------------------------------------------------ floater's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38048 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79212 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
