You could use wavinput plugin which will take anything from the
soundcard and convert it to something playable via squeezeboxes.  I
haven't tried it but apparently delays are a problem.  The audio would
lag your screen.  I.e. the voices would be out of sync with the images.
You'd need a squeezebox server running for this. 

I think VLC allows you to set up streams as well which you could then
use as internet radio stations.  Delays would again be a problem so
you'd have to fiddle with the audio sync settings in vlc.
