I think the only thing that might be cost effective would be to use an
inexpensive swing-arm lamp, remove the lamp and duct-tape the Touch to
the arm.

Otherwise you're better off using an iPod Touch with iPeng or a
netbook/laptop to control the Touch and ignore the touch screen.  It's
kind of amazing when you think about all of the effor that went into
the touch screen software developmet - there really are very few
practical uses for the thing.
