Makes more sense now that I have more info, YOU actually need a place
to PUT the Touch even when its not being used.

Would the wall mount work? Not a moveable solution, but it would give
the Touch a place to be beside the bed, could be mounted at the level
for your hand to just reach out to the side to tap the display and one
more thing to think about, it would be hard mounted so the Touch would
function easily.

Unless the arm you come up with locks or is very rigid, I would think
when you went to use the touch interface that all you would end up
doing was pushing the Touch away from you and not getting the desired
command result.

A small shelf or maybe two hooks in the wall to 'hang' the Touch by its
support when not using the touch display might be an interim solution.
