I have purchased a Touch to replace the SB3, connected to my stereo through the analog outputs. So it's really in the "all other thing being equal.." configuration.
The Touch is distinctively better and you don't need to perform heavy blind A/B tests, the Touch is systematically winning the race. Clearer bass, more details on the instruments (I'm essentially listening to classical music), better stereo image. To be complete, a couple of remarks: 1. I've since long replaced the original switching power supply with a regulated power supply. This is a must and it benefits both the SBB and the TOuch. 2. I've played around with the analog input selection and in the end I may say that the SB3 does perform better on the AUX input (or even TUNER) than on the CD inputs. The Touch on the other sounds best on the CD input.
