woodnut, i'm in the same boat as you, although my music collection is a bit smaller 300cd's I'm still not sure to go SB Touch or Sonos, there seems to be allot of reports about different problems but sometimes the internet and forums can make things appear to be allot worse!
Would you report back on how easy it is to set up and what quality of sound you get. I use Arcam 7 stuff with B&W speakers plus ipod connection. I hate playing mp3 in the house and want to hold all my cds presently in boxes (moved house 6 months ago and still not got them out)on a hard drive and play from there.
