This DAC definitely does not have any sample rate issues with the Touch digital stream. I would check very carefully that you are not accidentally transcoding the 24/96 flac file to MP3 in SBS (e.g. bitrate limiting) - check settings Player - Audio - Bitrate Limiting is OFF and Settings Advanced - Filetypes (ensure Flac - Flac is ENABLED!!!).
