I have copied my iTunesMusicfolder on an external USB drive that I connect to the SQ Touch. But the scanner doesn't manage to index it (although the same folder seems to work fine on my PC squeezecenter).
I tried to manually launch scanner.pl and here's what I get: # /usr/squeezecenter/scanner.pl --wipe /media/sda1/iTunesMusicFolder Your locale was detected as C, you may have problems with non-Latin filenames. Consider changing your LANG variable to the correct locale, i.e. en_US.utf8 [10-07-31 16:26:58.7845] main::main (202) Starting Squeezebox Server scanner (v7.5.1, r30837, Tue Jun 1 10:40:47 MDT 2010) perl 5.010000 [10-07-31 16:27:08.9158] Slim::Schema::init (157) Warning: Creating new database - empty database or database from 6.3.x found [10-07-31 16:29:41.6482] Slim::Utils::Scanner::scanDirectory (320) Found 17181 files in /media/sda1/iTunesMusicFolder [10-07-31 16:29:41.6691] Slim::Utils::Scanner::scanDirectory (333) Scanning: /media/sda1/iTunesMusicFolder/(untitled) - The Pregnant/SÃCRATES - natural live - debuts['debju_/15 (untitled) - The Pregnant.mp3 [10-07-31 16:29:41.9248] main::main (345) Error: Failed when running main scan: [Can't locate object method "newTrack" via package "Slim::Schema" at /usr/squeezecenter/Slim/Utils/Scanner.pm line 347. ] [10-07-31 16:29:41.9367] main::main (346) Error: Skipping post-process & Not updating lastRescanTime! # I read somewhere that the problem might be with AlbumArt that is to big. But how can I clean up my library and compress the AlbumArt? I hope I don't have to do that manually. I am a little bit disappointed by all this, as I really purchased the Touch because of its capability to run with a USB Drive. I hate the idea that my PC should be turned on 24h/day - the power consumption of that solution is not GREEN / responsible at all... (I also hate the idea of external powered USB drives for the same reason.) -- dg1sek ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dg1sek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39558 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80842
