The fix happened right around the time that 7.5.1 was being frozen, it
looks like it didn't make it. 

If your complaint is "why don't all fixes automatically get back ported
into the stable version", you'll have to bring that up with the Logitech
people in charge of the software release policy. 

Possibly because if its constantly being changed its not necessarily
stable any more! 

Exactly how this issue is dealt with is a very complex one for any
company releasing software on a regular basis. How stable is "stable"?
There are no cut and dried obvious answers on this. Every company has
to figure out where they want to be on this issue.
