I forgot to mention the disk is attached to an USB/SATA reader, so it
may look like the device is providing few disks. But only 1 HD is
present in the device (no other memory cards inthere). So it is the
reason for seeing it sometimes as sde1.
"Unitek SATA HDD Docking Station with Card Reader/Writer + Hub"

And also about 2nd point: unfortunately simple power failure might
occur, or just an usb cable might just disconnect.. :(

And I've just made a repeatable test: I disconnected USB without
properly ejecting. Connected it. Was recognized as sde1. Did that
again. Was recognized as sdf1.. (I also got some kernel/fat/directory
read panic in the logs in the meantime - sounds not a good way for hd
to be unplugged)

Here's some statistics..
# strings squeezebox.db |grep sde1|wc
5263 5330 536292
# strings squeezebox.db |grep sda1|wc
13409 37714 1447827

My point is: I don't really care how the system discovers the HD and to
what name assigns it. I just hope this internal cache/squeezebox.db is
not corrupted by as it contains different pathnames (once starting with
"sda1", and the other time with "sde1")
Until SBT plays the music I'm satisfied..

So it's reindexing again I think...
I've to reboot :(

# strings squeezebox.db |grep turner|grep Inferno|grep -v flacJ
file:///media/sda1/flac/tina_turner/whats_love_got_to_do_with_it/03.Disco%20Inferno.flac
file:///media/sde1/flac/tina_turner/whats_love_got_to_do_with_it/03.Disco%20Inferno.flac

PS. Are any SBT developers reading it? Is it worth to discuss the issue
here at all?
