This seems like a real sticky problem.  I'm pulling at straws here, but
could there be a process that is crashing?  Are core dumps enabled on
the Touch by default?  If not, I've used the command "ulimit -c
unlimited" on Linux systems to enable them.  If you look at the man
page for ulimit, I believe you can use the command to query the status
of core dump file generation (i.e. is it enabled or not).

To locate any core files, search the file system for "core" or
"*core*".

If it is dropping core, then the next step is figuring what is
crashing.

If this were a server running Linux, this is something I'd look for -
perhaps it's applicable to the Touch.
