probably good advice. But I can report that my brother has a TOUCH with USB drive attached containing about 50,000 mp3 or aac files. Virtually all of these files have embedded cover images. Although I'd be shocked if any of them were over 500x500. It all works perfectly, including streaming from the TOUCH to a BOOM.
