ah, good point. And my question is that if the OP is willing to build
power supplies from scratch and do other experimentation, how hard
could it be to run some CAT6 from the TOUCH location back to the
location of the router (thru the wall, in the attic, under the floor,
in the basement, etc.).  maybe impossible, but your time spent on this
other stuff would be more useful in getting a good stable network
setup.
