Yes that is understood.

But fellow forum member fairfax wanted *"Downsample 24/96 > 16/44

24/44 or 48 would work but be truncated as you say .But they would
"work".
You get rounding errors, but would they be noticed in the context of
NOS dac's ?

Perfect would be downsampling with the correct dithering applied .

The we always have the solution to make the process offline take copies
and use whatever good software needed to do a good downsampling job and
use these copies for the daily listening.
