Erm...

As no-one knows if or how these mods actually change the sound, it's
very difficult to answer your question based on any theoretical point
of view.

For example, the extra electrical noise from the USB disk activity may
outweigh the contribution (if any) of the wi-fi card, regardless of
what the card is doing... 

You'll have to try them for yourself...
