99 percent of my music files in iTunes are .m4a files. I recently
download an album and the files were created as mp3 type files. The
good news is they all seem to play properly on my touch.

The downloaded album contains 2 files for each song. For a song called
"Venus", one of the files is named "Venus.mp3" and the other is called
"02 Venus.mp3". Venus happens to be the second song. Also, the 2
files aren't exactly the same size. The first one is 6.9 mb and the
second is 7.0 mb.

The problem is that the touch sees both songs as separate songs. So
each song plays twice. Can I just delete one copy of each song? If
so, which one should I delete? Why did it place two files for each
song in the directory?

Thanks for your help,

Scott T.
