Touch's USB has limitations over the full SBS server on a computer. USB usage can also be hit & miss on reliability. Best to use a self powered USB drive for sure.
Why $3-$5k for a server? Heck, a $400 new laptop + external HDD would be way overkill on processing power to run SBS. Most run the full SBS server off of an existing computer or just put together a used computer or even a NAS drive to run SBS. Also search VortexBox in these forums for a simple, dedicated, complete, and very inexpensive SBS server solution for a few hundred bucks. -- toby10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83809 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
