Just to say I have the same click problem at 441000 Hz every 10-30 sec. Halide bridge is an asynch 24 bits DAC I am not a linux guru, but I think that the alsa driver is too old (no support for S24_3LE format see http://www.computeraudiophile.com/content/New-mpd-feature-cleaner-signal )
