Hi John, Well, I wish I could say I wasn't disappointed.
I followed your instructions and while I was able to get sound, the same "tick"ing was present just as with the later version of firmware. Any other suggestions? I think I may have figured out the obvious answer to my previous question. I assume that by simply agreeing to let the Touch update itself, the firmware will return to where it was. Thanks again for your efforts. I'm open to any other suggestions you have.
