That would be pointless the squeezebox padds all incoming signals to 24bit anyway and the built in DAC is oversampling like all modern DAC's of decent design ? Further you don't have more information than 16/44.1 anyway like pouring 1 pint of water in 1 gallon jug. I'll rip CD as 16/44.1 and my DVD-A's in their native format like 24/48 or 24/88.2 or 24/96 or the rare 24/192 .
