Hi all & merry Christmas I dont know if some internet FM. station send some information for replay-gains, but I could recognize some differences in sound qualities by setting smart-gain on & off and that for mostly all stations, at least those with min. 128 kbs streams.
By setting smart gain on, the internet music seems to be more dynamically strechted with slightly better bass extension and more detailed. At switched off position, the sound becomes more compact, like you would start to compress it and slightly louder. So, what effect has the smart gain setting at web broadcastings with or without any replay-informations? For me, it sounds like the signal will path or by-pass an equilizer in the Touch.
